About me

Bendik Nøstdal Langlo was born in 1997 in Ålesund, Norway. He started his music career as a 7-year-old on percussion, and later piano and organ. He comes from a musical family, where his grandfather Sverre Nøstdal, composed several marches and conducted multiple ensembles around Ålesund. Bendik studied music at Fagerlia upper secondary school, and later, he studied classical percussion at Toneheim Folkehøgskole. Furthermore, Langlo studied for a four-year bachelor’s degree at the Grieg Academy (the university of Bergen) with teachers; Peter Kates and Håkon Kartveit.

Langlo has played with many amateur and professional orchestras, such as the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bergen Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Royal Norwegian Navy Band, the Norwegian Armed Naval Forces Band, and Ålesund Symphony Orchestra. Currently, he is a freelancer who plays, teaches, and composes/arranges. He likes to play the piano, orchestra, and accordion in his spare time.

At the moment, Langlo lives in Eastern Norway, specifically Telemark, where he also works from both orders for arrangements, but also orders for compositions. Langlo is also available for hire to play melodic/percussion pieces and compose for various projects, orchestras, bands, or ensembles.
